Buck Knives 0119 Special Fixed Blade Knife with Leather Sheath

Hoyt Buck’s first knife, made from a worn out file blade in 1902 was a fixed blade. The U.S. Government requested blade donations for the military after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It is then, in the basement of a church in 1942, that Hoyt Buck began making knives by hand. It was a design that was dialed in after 40 years of making knives to customer specifications.A super seller going back some 47 years, the Buck 119BR Special fixed-blade knife is the same knife Hoyt and Al Buck used to build by hand in their two-man shop. Today, the Special hunting knife features a large clip blade made of 420HC stainless steel, making it ideal for detail work, piercing, and cutting in tight places. As popular as ever, the knife comes with a brown leather sheath.
