Hand Scythe BOLINE ritual knife ceremonial White dagger
This knife has the abilities to fulfill the traditional roles of the Boline perfectly. The boline is known as the practical white-handled knife; the knife to use for cutting and carving and any other hard work you might need a knife for in your ritual work. This knife is well thought out and able to take on these traditional roles. The inside blade is serrated (as were many of the old herb scythes) giving the blade a good grip on anything that is a little stiff to cut like woody herbs, vines, or slim branches. The outer edge of the blade is sharp, creating a design similar to the older herb choppers, now known as mezzaluna knives, for their curved, moon shaped, edge. The tip is pointed, allowing it to be used with care for carving candles or similar uses. The handle and blade are made of a solid piece of stainless steel for additional strength, a relatively maintenance free material, and measures over nine inches long. The natural bone handle is riveted in place with two rivets. This handle is textured for better grip. It is lightly burned brown. (Traditionally, the white-handled knife is light, or lighter than the athame, in color, not necessarily white. If a white handle is desired, you can buff / sand the brown tone off.) This comes with a protective leather case. It is new, with no problems.
