  • The “Tumi”, an Inca deity, is a sacrificial ceremonial axe or knife with a semi-circular blade in the Inca Culture. The Tumi was used for rituals during the “Inti Raymi” or “Festival of the Sun”, an Inca ceremony in honor of the sun after the maize harvest in the highlands. Is also believed that the Tumi was used for rituals, sacrificies, trepanations and as a symbol of power and prestige.
