The Enshou circle is traditionally painted in one stroke in Japanese calligraphy, it represents the state of mind of the artist at the moment of creation. The clean lines of the silk Damascus pattern on the blade are the most difficult of the Damascus patterns and are only possible with true Japanese VG-10 steel from Japan.
