GrandWay 4172 K is an interesting variation on two types of knives – Spanish clasp knife and so-called semi-folding blade knives, which in Europe are known as Verlängerungsmesser (“extended knife”).
From the clasp knife here we have the general style and form of both the handle and the blade. As for the semi-folding type, the blade is much longer than its handle.
As a result, we have a folding blade knife of medium size with a blade of quite an impressive length. The handle of the knife serves as an extension to the folding metal tang, into which the blade is hidden during folding.
When the knife is unfolded, the most part of this tang, without causing any inconveniences to the grip, goes into the handle of the knife, while working as a stopper, preventing its folding.
